Two things are priced separately and should not be confused: - **The OpenAISF standard and its tooling** — free, permanently, at every tier. CC BY 4.0 (specification) and Apache-2.0 (reference tooling). No registration, no licence fee, no gated download. - **TruCert certification** — the independent assessment and the certificate. Commercial. Quoted per scope. --- ## Self-assessment — €0 - Price: €0/month, permanently - Applies to: all tiers T1, T2, T3, T4 - Includes: the full control catalog, the crosswalk to 8 external regimes, the reference conformance CLI, the self-assessed conformance badge - Limits: no independent verification, no public register entry, no assessor signature - Accepted by: your own engineering and risk functions - Generally not accepted by: enterprise procurement, insurers, regulators, acquirers - Get it: https://github.com/OpenAISF-org/openaisf --- ## T1 Solo — certification not offered - Price: not applicable - Reason: at this tier, self-assessment is sufficient and TruCert does not sell what is not needed - Evidence lease: 30 days - For: individual builders and small teams shipping an AI feature --- ## T2 Team — verified badge - Price: fixed fee, quoted per scope. Contact certification@trucert.ai - Fee basis (published with every quote): number of systems in scope, number of jurisdictions, volume of evidence requiring sampling, existing certifications held - Evidence lease: renews every 24 hours - For: regulated organisations, EU AI Act high-risk systems, agentic deployments - Includes: named assessor, evidence sampling, public register entry, annual surveillance, right of appeal - Typical elapsed time: 6–10 weeks from application to decision, of which 4–6 weeks is usually applicant remediation rather than assessment - Readiness check occurs before any assessment fee is committed --- ## T4 Frontier — full certification with adversarial assessment - Price: quoted per scope. Contact certification@trucert.ai - Evidence lease: continuous - For: model developers and operators of highly autonomous systems - Includes: everything in T3, plus adversarial assessment and drill verification of detection and containment times - Typical elapsed time: quoted with scope --- ## Why fees are quoted rather than listed Certification fees depend on scope, as they do in every accredited certification scheme. A single internal model in one jurisdiction and a fleet of customer-facing agents across three regulatory regimes are not the same assessment and should not carry the same fee. What TruCert commits to instead of a list price: 1. The fee basis is published with the quote — you see what drove the number. 2. The readiness check (Stage 2) happens **before** you commit to an assessment fee, so no organisation pays to discover it was not ready. 3.
